Threadlift
A PDO face thread lift involves the insertion of small barbed sutures underneath the skin along key areas of the face and pulled tighter to combat sagging. PDO stands for Polydioxanone, a material used to make these threads. PDO face thread lift is also known as V face thread lift and Korean thread lift.
PDO threads are safe, naturally broken down over months, do not damage tissue, and are barely visible as it is made with a transparent material. When it comes to PDO threads, there are 3 different types available that server different purposes due to their different thickness and lengths.
Mono threads are single PDO filaments where the threads are smooth and made without barbs. This achieves maximum skin tightening when the threads are inserted in a mesh-like pattern from all directions.
Cog threads are similar to mono threads but have a barb that attaches to the underside of the skin to suspend tissue structure. This creates a lifting effect due to the added support structure to the skin.
Screw threads are used to plump facial volume over sunken areas. One or two (multi-screw) threads are intertwined with the inserting needle to augment the final lifting results.

Ultherapy
Ultherapy® (Ultherapy in Singapore) is a non-invasive tissue lift treatment that uses micro-focused ultrasound to precisely heat tissue at multiple depths without affecting the surface of the skin. The result is a multi-dimensional lift that begins at the skin’s foundation.
What is Ultherapy?
The Ulthera system received U.S. FDA approval in 2009 through the de novo process, creating a new category of device. Ultherapy delivers micro-focused ultrasound energy below the skin’s surface. This targets the foundational layers of the skin, precisely heating tissue to the optimal temperature for neocollagenesis (>60oC), without affecting the epidermis.
As we age, our skin starts to sag with gravity and wrinkles form on areas such as the forehead and crowsfeet. This is where Ultherapy comes in. A non-surgical ultrasound treatment that combats the signs of ageing by tightening and lifting sagging loose skin around the face and neck. Results can be achieved with just one 60 minute session.

How does the Ultherapy procedure work?
As with other ultrasound procedures, a smooth applicator placed upon your skin projects an image onto a screen that allows your practitioner to plan your treatment. This same applicator is then used to deliver tiny deposits of focused ultrasound energy at just the right depth below the skin to achieve a positive effect, all the while leaving the surface of your skin undisturbed. What does it feel like?
Many patients who undergone Ultherapy review that there might be slight discomfort felt during the process which is a sign that new collagen is forming. A layer of numbing cream is applied before each Ultherapy session begins and after treatment there might be slight redness but it tends to subside in a few hours. It is normal to experience slight swelling a few days after the treatment or a tingling sensation a few weeks after. However, these symptoms are mild and will eventually subside.
What kind of results can I expect?
With just one treatment, the regenerative process is initiated, but the effect will build gradually over the course of two to three months.
